## Changes in this application

Native surface meshes were grouped by coronary structure and converted to indexed web geometry. All surfaces use one common coordinate transform, preserving their spatial relationships:

`site = [(nativeX − 21)/32, (nativeZ − 1245)/32, (−nativeY − 125)/32]`

Site axes: +X patient left, +Y superior, +Z anterior. The native-axis interpretation was checked against chamber and coronary landmarks. Scaling is a display normalization of the source millimeter coordinates. Vertex values are rounded to five decimal places in display units. No vessel centerlines or branch connections were invented. No geometric smoothing or decimation was applied. Surface normals are computed for display shading. Colors, grouping, label anchors, interactive selection, and 2D projections were added by Virtual Coronary Angiography.

The 3D coronary view and 2D projections use the identical indexed triangle surfaces. Submillimeter seams between separately supplied source segments are retained; they are not evidence of an absent vessel segment. Small branch surfaces and the atlas anatomy are not a substitute for patient imaging. The displayed great vessels are partial: ascending aorta, aortic arch, brachiocephalic trunk and left subclavian trunk. The lower left common carotid is not supplied in the selected source set and is not fabricated.

The source download includes original OBJ files in `assets/bodyparts3d-heart-source.zip`, an asset manifest with native names, identifiers, hashes and bounds, and the reproducible compiler `scripts/compile-anatomy.py`. Branch groups retain source-defined generic identities; no unsupported D1/D2, OM1/OM2 or PL1/PL2 numbering is asserted.

No DBCLS endorsement of this application is implied. Application code and cine clips have separate licenses.

## Optional thoracic cage (October 14, 2026)

Downloaded from the [official Anatomography backend](https://lifesciencedb.jp/bp3d/), using compatibility version 4.3 component IDs. [Official license](https://dbarchive.biosciencedbc.jp/en/bodyparts3d/lic.html).

The optional rib cage uses 59 native components: left/right ribs 1–12, left/right costal cartilage 1–10, manubrium/body/xiphoid and thoracic vertebrae T1–T12. No rib paths were invented. `assets/bodyparts3d-rib-cage-source.zip` includes original unmodified OBJ files and a manifest with source labels, IDs and SHA-256 hashes. The latest matching sternum components FJ6400/FJ6297/FJ6272 are included once; older duplicate sternum surfaces are excluded.

`compile-rib-cage.py` averages vertices in 2 mm spatial grid cells and drops collapsed/duplicate faces, then applies the exact same common patient-coordinate transform as the cardiac model. This reduces 232,822 original triangles to 113,698 background triangles. No organ-specific translation, rotation or rescaling is applied. The translucent cage is simplified anatomical context; it is not an independently validated diagnostic bone model. It is off by default and appears only in the anatomy inspection panel, never as simulated X-ray attenuation. Native atlas asymmetries and reconstruction limitations remain.
